Acoustic Rainbow - Artist and Label Submissions

The Acoustic Rainbow has a very passionate review process. We want every sampler to be a winner and the best possible. No one can simply "write a check" and be on the Acoustic Rainbow, it doesn't work that way. Sometime songs that work well in concert do not translate well for radio. Other times artists can be emotionally attached to a song on their album that might not be the best match for most acoustic programs.

We will help you sort through all of that. Artists, labels and managers can apply immediately by sending us your CD for review. DO NOT SEND MONEY. Whether you are Warner Brothers Records or "Joe Independent" your album must be reviewed first. Our production committee will take your CD and listen to each song on the album carefully.

We have TWO DIFFERENT SAMPLERS:

a) The music formats accepted for the ROOTS Radio Sampler are:
Folk • AAA • Americana • Blues • Songwriter • Acoustic Rock • Jazz • Celtic • Spoken Word • Progressive Bluegrass

b) The music formats accepted for the BLUEGRASS Radio Sampler are:
Traditional Bluegrass • Mountain • Old-Time • Banjo • Fiddle • Flatpicking • Shapenote Accapella

When your album passes the committee review, we will then call you and tell you our suggestion for your single. What we are looking for is:

    * Are you in tune and is the production fitting for the sound of today's radio formats?
    * Does the song fit a relatively large number of radio formats?
    * Are there more than just one song on your CD that we can recommend to radio?
    * Are you willing to service radio with copies of your full CD when they
      ask for it?
